Connection / Operation Type of System: Setting Multiple Device Connection

The Gigaset 1054isdn can be operated both on a multiple device connection and an installation
connection (see also page 9). Using the following procedure you can set the system for opera-
tion on a multiple device connection (default setting) and define either local or multiple cell oper-
ation (operation of the mobile unit on one or more base stations).
Using this setting your Gigaset 1054isdn can only be operated on a multiple device connection
that was installed by the German Telekom AG. You will find additional information for multiple cell
operation on page 153.

Note:
The ability to telephone between internal subscribers using multiple base stations makes
sense, for example, when your Gigaset 1054isdn is operating behind a telephone system.
The telephone system must support this internal calling (see "Multiple Cell System" page
153).

then select with OK.
Press OK if you only wanted to check the
configuration or
using NEXT search for "Point to MP ." and
set it with STORE (default setting)
You have now set the multiple device con-
nection.
Press OK if you just wanted to confirm the
setting or
using NEXT search for Local-/Multicell oper-
ation
and set with STORE.
The individual setting options that you can
select with OK have the following impacts:
Operation with one base station
i.e., one cell operation (default setting).
Multiple cell operation
Operation with more than one base station
After setting multicell operation:
Either open or block the option of telephon-
ing between internal subscribers using mul-
tiple base stations
