Base Station Selection Automatic / Manual / Combined

When you operate multiple base stations, then you can define on which base station you want to
operate your mobile phones. You have the choice between automatic, manual, or combined. The
setting is made when the mobile unit is not active.
1. Automatic selection of the base station (default setting)
The mobile unit will select the base station for operation itself
when it enters the base station's range
when base stations are "competing" (in the overlap area) to the base station that it sees
as the best.

2. Manual selection of the base station:
You can define the base station to use when making a call; this is recommended for areas of
overlap.

3. Combined selection of the base station:
The mobile unit will search for the base station that you have set for 30 seconds. If it cannot
find it then it will look for the base station that offers the best connection.

Note:
Only registrated mobile phones can be operated on a base station.
If contact to a base station is lost during the search for another base station the ready sym-
bol will blink in the display.
You can always be reached using the base station on which your mobile unit is registrated.

Enter the base station number that
should be searched for first.
Press the number again to set the com-
bined search.
The 0 key and here the 1 key blinks,
