Adaptive Delta Pulse Code Modulation
A digital transmission procedure to copy an analog signal as a digital value and
then to transfer the difference of these values.
When you set an authorization you can determine if your telephone can be used
for:
- outgoing and incoming external calls (full authorization),
- only incoming external calls and internal calls (incoming authorization),
- only internal calls (internal authorization),
If the person that you are calling is busy, then you can have yourself called back
by activating the automatic call back function

- Delayed call forwarding after 15 seconds. This means that you will have time
to decide whether to answer the phone, or to have it forwarded after 15 sec-
onds,
- Forward call when busy

If you receive a call during an active call, then you will be signaled of this with
the call waiting tone. The call number of the caller is displayed.
You have the choice of answering or refusing the incoming call. The caller will
hear the busy signal.
You can have a connection with two external subscribers simultaneously (three
way conference).
When you are making a call you can interrupt (without losing the connection)
and make another call, for example, to make an inquiry. When finished you can
continue with the original call.

When you contract with Telekom, you will receive a system call number with a
standard call number block from 00 to 99, i.e. you can have up to 100 exten-
sions.
With Gigaset 1054isdn, the basic call number will be linked to the internal call
number automatically (up to 10 subscribers), so that every subscriber will have
his or her own call number.
Because of the automatic combination of basic and internal subscriber numbers
with Gigaset 1054isdn, ring allocation is not necessary.
