Base Station Select Automatic / Manual / Combined
When you operate multiple base station, then you can define on which base station you want to
operate your mobile phones. You have the choice between automatic, manual, or combined. The
setting is made when the mobile unit is not active.
1. Automatic selection of the base station (default setting)
The mobile unit will select the base station for operation itself
when it enters the base station's range
when base stations are "competing" (in the overlap area) to the base station that it sees
as the best.
2. Manual selection of the base station:
You can define the base station to use when making a call; this is recommended for areas of
overlap.
3. Combined selection of the base station:
The mobile unit will search for the base station that you have set for 30 seconds. If it cannot
find it then it will look for the base station that offers the best connection.

Note:
Only registrated mobile phones can be operated on a base station.
If contact to a base station is lost during the search for another base station, the text
"Srch.station" appears in the display.
You are always available using the base station on which your mobile unit is registrated.

The comfort mobile unit is in the non-active
mode.
Press the F key; Main menu is displayed.
Scroll the main menu with NEXT and select
"Search station" with OK.
The menu for setting the station is displayed
(complete menu left).
A multiple registration on up to 4 base sta-
tions is possible.
You can use NEXT / OK to select the follow-
ing options:
With OK you can select, for example, Sta-
tion 1; in this way you select the base man-
ually.
After this you have the following setup
options:
Press this to confirm the manual selection
of the base station.
Press this to set the combined selection
function. The station selected with the
combined function is marked with a „*" .
Press OK to select the „Best Station"; so
that the automatic selection function.
