Operating the Standard Mobile Unit
Entering / Changing Mobile Unit PIN
In addition to the system code, you can also enter a PIN for each mobile unit. This protects your
saved personal information from unauthorized access. You will also need the mobile unit PIN for:
Locking the mobile unit and allowing direct dialing access, programming the direct dial access,
unlocking the mobile unit and changing the mobile unit's PIN. The default setting for the PIN is
0 0 0 0.

Note:
If you enter the incorrect mobile unit PIN, a negative acknowledgement tone will sound and
the display will blink.
The procedure can be stopped by pressing the save key.
If you forget a PIN, you will need technical assistance to reaccess the mobile unit. Forgetting
the PIN is similar to losing a key. In this case you should contact the sales or service repre-
sentative.

Enter new mobile unit PIN
(do not forget).
Each entered number replaces one of
the first 4 dashes.
Enter the new mobile unit PIN again.
Each entered number replaces one of
the second 4 dashes.
Press the save key again.
The process is now complete.
The new mobile unit PIN is now saved.
