6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
7. Erase the DTC memory.
8. Read the DTC.
Is DTC

indicated?
Y E S - G o to step 9
NO —Short to another wire in the front passenger's
side airbag inflator; replace the front passenger's
side airbag (see page 23-282).•
9. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for
3 minutes.
10. Disconnect the S R S floor harness 2P connector (A)
from the driver's side airbag (B).
11. Disconnect the special tool from the S R S floor
harness 2P connector.
12. Disconnect S R S unit connector B (14P) from the
S R S unit.
13. Check resistance between the No. 5 and No. 14
terminals of S R S unit connector B (14P). There
should be 1 MQ or more.
