Y E S — F a u l t y SRS indicator light circuit in t h e gauge
assembly; replace the SRS indicator circuit board in
the gauge assembly. •
NO—Open in dashboard w i r e harness A or b o d y
g r o u n d ; check the body g r o u n d connection. If it is
OK, repair or replace dashboard wire harness A . B
The SRS Indicator Light Stays On When In
" S C S " Menu M e t h o d
NOTE:
• Inability to retrieve DTCs w i t h the PGM Tester.
Retrieve the flash codes w i t h the SCS mode (see
page 23-43).
• A new SRS unit must sense the entire system is OK
before completing its initial self-test. The most
c o m m o n cause of an incomplete self-test is the
failure t o replace all deployed parts after a collision,
in particular, and seat belt tensioners.
• A n incomplete self-test prevents the PGM Tester f r o m
retrieving DTCs, although flash codes are available in
the Tester's SCS mode.
1. Check for a b l o w n No. 2 (10A) fuse in t h e driver's u
nder-dash fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK ?
Y E S - G o t o step 2.
NO—Replace the No. 2 fuse. Turn the ignition
switch ON (II), and check for a blown No. 2 fuse. If
the fuse is b l o w n ; replace the SRS m a i n harness. If
the fuse is OK; replace the SRS unit.B
2. Disconnect the driver's airbag 2P connector (A) and
front passenger's airbag 4P connector (B).
