SRS Indicator Light Circuit Troubleshooting - '98-99 Models (cont'd)
28. Disconnect the S R S main harness 3P connector (A)
from the dashboard wire harness.
29. Check resistance between the No. 6 terminal of the
S R S main harness 18P connector and the No. 1
terminal of the S R S main harness 3P connector;
there should be 0 - 1 . 0 Q.

The SRS Indicator Light Comes On for t h e

After Self
Diagnosis, b u t no DTCs are
stored (NEC SRS unit only)
1. Erase the DTC memory (see page 23-45).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the
SRS indicator light comes on for about 6 seconds
and then goes off.
Does the SRS indicator
light come
on?
Y E S - G o t o step 3.
NO —Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures (see
page 23-45).
3. Check for blown No. 1 (15A) fuse in the driver's
under-dash fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK ?
Y E S - G o t o step 12.
N O - G o t o step 4.
4. Replace the fuse. Turn the ignition switch ON (II),
and check that the fuse doesn't blow.
Is the fuse
OK?
Y E S - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures (see
page 23-45). •
N O - G o t o step 5.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for
3 minutes.
NO —Open in the S R S main harness; replace the
S R S main h a r n e s s . •
