Power Saving (Power Save Mode)

You can reduce power consumption efficiently by using POWER SAVE MODE
when the printer is idle or not in use.
IMPORTANT
Even if "

is consumed only slightly while the power plug is inserted into the AC power outlet. To cut
the power consumption completely, unplug the power plug from the AC power outlet.
For more details on each setting, see "Printing Environment Settings," on p. 5-1.

2-6 Turning the Printer ON/OFF
Hold down the control panel power switch (sub power supply)
on the control panel until <02 SHUTTING DOWN> is displayed,
then release the switch.
Hold down the switch (approximately 4 seconds) until <02 SHUTTING DOWN> is
displayed. If the switch is released in less than 4 seconds, and POWER SAVE
MODE is set to a setting value other than OFF, the printer enters Power Save
Mode. (See p. 2-6)
