Notes when installing
Files of downloaded data are compressed.
Decompress the data before downloading them to the printer.
1. Select a compressed file according to the printer's specifications from the downloaded data
in CSSC/TSC URL.
2. Double click the selected file to bring it to the computer.
(Downloading to the printer is not available if selected file and printer configurations do not
match.)
3. Decompress the downloaded data (compressed file).
4. Before starting to download to the printer, prepare the servicing up to this point.
Downloading procedure
Reference It takes about 9 min. to download it with the parallel connection in DP-C321/C401.
Adjustment
Procedure
1. Set the download mode in the printer.
Turn Off the printer's Power Switch.
Turn On the Power of the printer, pressing down the power saver button.
The UI display changes to [Download Mode].
2. Connect the printer and the PC in which downloaded software is installed (Connection
confirmation).
[Download by the network connection]
Enter the IP address with machine's control panel as following procedures and check
connection with Ping command with Dos prompt screen.
Press [Password/System Setting] --> Enter Password --> Touch [Confirm] --> Select
[System Settings] --> Select [System Settings] --> Select [Network Settings] --> Select
[Protocol Settings] --> Select [TCP/IP-IP Add. for Download] --> Touch [Change
Settings] --> Input IP Address for download (***.***.***.***) --> Touch [Save] -->
Touch [Close] --> Touch [Close] --> Touch [Save] --> Touch [Exit]
[Download from PC connected to the parallel connection]
Check the connection of the parallel cable.
[Download from PSW]
Connect PC and the printer with the parallel cable and the adapter.
3. Download it from the computer to the printer.
Execute downloader.exe in the decompressed downloaded data. Close the Readme.
Downloading is available with the download wizard.
[Welcome] screen
Click the [Next] button.
[License Agreement] Screen
Select "Agree" if you can agree with the content.
[Select Communication Interface] screen
Select "Local", in case of parallel connection.
Enter in the following box a driver name of the parallel printer that the client has.
Select "Network" and enter the IP address of the printer where downloading is to be
performed, in case of the network communication.
[Select execution content] screen.
Select [Download to the printer].
[Select Model/Subsystem] screen.
Select the appropriate printer.
Select mode.
Select "Individual" from "All" "Individual" displayed below the subsystem.
Select target ROM.
[Select Model/Subsystem] screen.
In this screen, version information of the printer and version information to be
downloaded are displayed. If correct, click "Next".
[Transmission status] Screen
In case of parallel connection, the transmission to the printer appears in the client.
Even if this screen finishes, wait until the [Data] lamp on the printer finishes flashing
because of the development in the device.
If [Communicating] lamp goes Off, it is completed successfully. Turn the Power of the
printer Off/On.
If the [Job in Memory] lamp flashes, repeat from Step 1 since an error exists (resource
error/write error).
If the [Job in Memory] lights up, repeat from Step 1 since an error exists (transmission
error).
In case of network communication, confirmation is possible in the status information until
the writing process finishes in the printer.
Confirm the finishing result in the client's screen. If it is not successful, repeat from Step 1.
