012-281 SET CLAMP FAILURE
Description The SET CLAMP HOME SENSOR does not turn
On within 200 ms after the SET CLAMP has started operation.
Though it is possible to run the following Diag on
the machine not installed with the Finisher, an error
will be displayed.
BSD on : CH11.9 CH11.11B
Procedure
Replace the FINISHER REAR COVER.
Enter DC330 [012-211] and turn it On.
Rotate the Actuator and turn the SET CLAMP HOME
SENSOR On/Off.
Is the display switched between H and L?
Y N
Check the SET CLAMP HOME SENSOR using the
Generic Permeable Sensor Failure FIP.
Enter DC330 [012-040] and turn it On.
Was the SET CLAMP SOLENOID energized?
Y N
Check the SET CLAMP SOLENOID using the Generic
Solenoid/Clutch Not Energized Failure FIP.
After running DC330 [012-034] EJECT CLAMP UP, run
DC330 [012-032] and lower the EJECT CLAMP.
Enter DC330 [012-041] and turn it On.
Has the SET CLAMP rotated one?
Y N
Enter DC330 [012-030] and turn it On.
Is the EJECT MOTOR rotating (or is it going to rotate)?
Y N
Is +24 VDC measured between the FINISHER PWB
J846-6 (+) and GND (-)?
Y N
Is +24 VDC measured between the FINISHER
PWB J844-4 (+) and GND (-)?

Check the INTLK ON +24 VDC circuit to
the FINISHER PWB J844-4 by referring to
the BSD CH11.1.
Replace the FINISHER PWB. (PL15.13)
Check the wire between the FINISHER PWB J846
and the EJECT MOTOR J881 for an open circuit or
poor contact. If no problems are found, replace the
EJECT MOTOR (PL15.8) and the FINISHER PWB
(PL15.13) in sequence.
Check the following:
• The EJECT ROLLER for wear and a revolution
failure
• The EJECT SHAFT for wear and a revolution failure
• Each Driver Gear for wear, a revolution failure, and
breakage
• The BELT for disengagement, breakage, and
improper tension
Remove the other mechanical causes of the SET CLAMP
not operating.
Replace the FINISHER PWB. (PL15.13)
012-301 TOP COVER INTERLOCK OPEN
Description The TOP COVER INTERLOCK is open.
Though it is possible to run the following Diag on
the machine not installed with the Finisher, an error
will be displayed.
BSD on : CH11.1 CH11.11A
Procedure
Cheat the TOP COVER INTERLOCK SWITCH.
Has the display of 012-301 been cleared?
Y N
Is +5 VDC measured between the FINISHER PWB J851-1
(+) and GND (-)?
Y N
Replace the FINISHER PWB. (PL15.13)
Is +5 VDC measured between the TOP COVER
INTERLOCK SWITCH J890-3 (+) and GND (-)?
Y N
Check the wire between the TOP COVER
INTERLOCK SWITCH J890-3 and the FINISHER
PWB J851-1 for an open circuit or poor contact.
Is +5 VDC measured between the TOP COVER
INTERLOCK SWITCH J890-4 (+) and GND (-)?
Y N
Replace the TOP COVER INTERLOCK SWITCH.

Check the wire between the FINISHER PWB J851-2 and
the TOP COVER INTERLOCK SWITCH J890-4 for an
open circuit or poor contact.
Mismatching between the TOP COVER and the TOP COVER
INTERLOCK SWITCH.
Check the TOP COVER for improper installation and the
actuator for breakage and bending.
012-302 FRONT DOOR INTERLOCK OPEN
Description The FRONT DOOR INTERLOCK is open.
Though it is possible to run the following Diag on
the machine not installed with the Finisher, an error
will be displayed.
BSD on : CH11.1 CH11.11A
Procedure
Cheat the FRONT DOOR INTERLOCK SWITCH.
Has the display of 012-302 been cleared?
Y N
Is +5 VDC measured between the FINISHER PWB J851-3
(+) and GND (-)?
