DP-CL18 3.6.2. Data Flow This printer has three interfaces for communicating with the host computer : Parallel Interface, Ethernet Interface and USB Interface. The following indicates the data when communicating with the host computer using these interfaces.
DP-CL18 3.6.3. USB Interface IC15 has the USB interface circuit that is used for receiving ( transferring ) data from ( to ) the host computer. There are USB interface protocol engine, control/status register group, FIFO group, USB transceiver and PLL in the USB interface circuit. The data receiving/transferring speed is full-speed (12Mbps) that conforms the USB2.0 standard.
DP-CL18 3.6.4. Parallel Interface This interface conforms the IEEE1284 standard and the data transferring to host PC and data receiving from host PC are mainly operated by the ASIC1 (IC15). The data lines (data0 ~ data7) and control lines (nStrobe, nACK, Busy, etc) are connected from the parallel interface connector CN1 on the main control board to the ASIC1 through the IEEE1284 driver IC3.
