System Setup
Note: In order to be granted the rights to use the configuration
tools, you must have logged in as system administrator (user
"root") or as user administrator (user "admin").
Firmware tools
Firmware tools are provided for your support when performing
firmware upgrades which may become available in the future. As
soon as an upgrade of the firmware will be available, you will be
able to download it from Adcon's website, following the instruc-
tions given there, or by receiving it from your Adcon distributor,
respectively. After having the new firmware available on your local
PC, you will have to transfer it to your A850.
The following firmware tools are provided:
•
"List uploaded images in your browser": view all uploaded
firmware images stored in the flash memory of your A850,
Note: The purpose of this feature is to provide the possibility to
check if all files required for a firmware upgrade have been
uploaded to the A850. This check should be made before
the new firmware is started with "reboot", after that, the list
of uploaded images will be erased again.
•
"Upload an A850 firmware image stored as local file": load an
actual version of the firmware image in your A850,
Note: Perform an upgrade only if you have problems with your
A850 or if an upgrade is recommended by Adcon, respec-
tively.
•
"Reboot the Gateway": after a firmware upgrade has been
prepared, you have to reboot your A850 anew in order to
activate the new firmware.
•
"Set Date and Time of the Gateway": in any case, after a
firmware upgrade, you have to enter date and time anew.
Note: In order to be granted the rights to use the firmware tools,
