RTU Network Configuration

Definition of RTU Groups

The RTU Network Configuration represents the network of the
physical Remote Telemetry Units (RTUs) distributed within a certain
geographical area.
The RTU Network Configuration comprises a reference of each
physical RTU grouped by arbitrary RTU groups displaying the infor-
mation about the sensors or combo sensors connected.
The existing RTUs can be departmentalized in one or several RTU
groups. Thereby, a logical structuring of the RTU network can be
achieved.
All functions and settings pertaining to the RTUs are combined in
the RTU Network. This comprises:
the departmentalization of the RTU network in RTU groups,
the determination of existing or planned RTUs, respectively,
the connection of sensor types to RTUs,
the determination of RTU routes,
the readout of RTU or sensor data, respectively,
the assignment of data to RTUs or sensors, respectively,
the query of the Call Journal or Poll Journal for singular RTUs.
