RTU Network Configuration

Definition of RTU Groups

The RTU Network Configuration represents the network of the
physical Remote Telemetry Units (RTUs) distributed within a certain
geographical area.
The RTU Network Configuration comprises a reference of each
physical RTU grouped by arbitrary RTU groups displaying the infor-
mation about the sensors or combo sensors connected.
The existing RTUs can be departmentalized in one or several RTU
groups. Thereby, a logical structuring of the RTU network can be
achieved.
All functions and settings pertaining to the RTUs are combined in
the RTU Network. This comprises:
• the departmentalization of the RTU network in RTU groups,
• the determination of existing or planned RTUs, respectively,
• the connection of sensor types to RTUs,
• the determination of RTU routes,
• the readout of RTU or sensor data, respectively,
• the assignment of data to RTUs or sensors, respectively,
• the query of the Call Journal or Poll Journal for singular RTUs.
