Main Window views
The main window of the A850 configuration GUI consists of the
following components:
•
Tree view providing access to all the objects to be configured
of the actual configuration,
•
Table view with a configurable column display to provide
sufficient information to identify the object to be worked on,
dependent on the selected node of the tree view,
•
A menu bar including the menus to invoke the provided
functions,
•
A tool bar providing shortcut access to specified functions,
•
Context menus for the nodes of the tree view and for the
rows of the table view providing functions to be performed
on the underlying object.
From this main window, the user can start the navigation to either
detailed views of objects or to windows for issuing special func-
tions or to the extended search interface for retrieving a limited
view of objects.
Tree view
The view in the left part of the main window shows the configura-
tion data structured as tree to accelerate the navigation within it.
The nodes of the tree can either be mere structure constructs with-
out configuration data (e.g. RTU groups) or objects with configura-
tion data and containing multiple child objects (e.g., a RTU with
several sensors connected) or objects without further child objects
(e.g. sensors).
The tree view only contains objects which the actual user is permit-
ted to see or to modify.
