Radio parameter
Figure 144. Wireless Modem - Radio parameter
The following radio parameters of the Wireless Modem are to be
set here:
•
Code - enter the code by which your Wireless Modem can be
addressed. By default, the code is identical to the serial
number of the modem;
Note: Using the defined code, the A440 can be addressed by
means of direct commands.
•
Radio frequency - enter the frequency which is to be used for
communication between the Wireless Modem and the RTUs;
CAUTION
The A440 transmits within the ISM band, do not change
the frequency of your device without reason: apart from the fact it
may not communicate in the network anymore, you may also
violate the applicable radiocommunications laws in your country.
Depending on the destination country, some models may also
return an error message.
•
Radio channel spacing - to enter the spacing (in Hertz) among
the respective channels; it is usual to work with a channel
spacing of 12,5 kHz;
•
Radio error rate packets - enter the permissible error rates for
the data transmission (minimum and maximum error rate);
Note: If the error rate exceeds the permissible range of values, an
error rate notification is sent;
•
Radio error rates - displays the actual radio error rates of the
Wireless Modem;
