This chapter summarizes all administrative settings which are
required for the use of the A850 in a RTU network.
Please keep in mind that only the system administrator (i.e. the
user named "root", by default) has the right to make all the set-
tings for the use of the Gateway. As a basic principle, all other
users have the right to view these settings, but no rights to make
changes. The only exception to this rule is connected with the
point "RTU Network" in the tree window (see below) which
includes the functionality to give other user groups limited capabil-
ities to make some settings of the configuration of the RTUs.
The addIT RTUs are equipped with cable attachments called con-
nectors. The connector type determines how the respective RTU
communicates with the attached sensor(s).
The following table shows which possibilities to connect sensors or
sensor systems (LC, OC, SDI) are offered by the different Adcon
RTUs.
