CHASSIS
CUPER REMOVAL AND DISASSEMBLY
• Remove the union bolt and catch the brake fluid in a suitable
receptacle.
CAUTION:
Never reuse the brake fluid left over from the servicing and
stored for long periods.
WARNING:
Brake fluid, if it leaks, will interfere with safe running and
discolor painted surfaces.
Check the brake hose and hose joint for cracks and oil
leakage.
• Remove the caliper mounting bolts.
• Remove the torque link bolt and nut, and remove the caliper.
NOTE:
Slightly loosen the caliper housing bolts to facilitate later
disassembly before removing the caliper mounting bolts.
09900·00410: Hexagon wrench set
• Remove the pads. (Page 7-26)
• Remove the caliper housing bolts and separate the caliper
halves (Page 7-11)
• Remove the O-ring. (Page 7-11)
NOTE
Once separate the caliper halves, replace the O-ring with a new
one.
• Remove the dust seal and piston seal. (Page 7-11)
