• Flatten the lock portion of the oil seal retainer and remove
it by removing the four bolts.
• Remove the neutral position indicator switch by removing
the screws.
NOTE:
Do not lose the O-ring

and its spring

• Remove the countershaft bearing retainer by removing the
two screws.
• Remove the plug
(1)
on the upper crankcase.
• Remove the upper crankcase securing bolts and nut.
