Error messages

If a machine malfunction occurs, the error screen appears with one of the fol-
lowing error messages. Refer to the following table, and then perform the in-
dicated operation.
If correct transmission are still not possible, even after performing the de-
scribed operations, contact your technical representative.

For details on troubleshooting procedures for document misfeeds, paper
misfeeds, poor print quality, or empty toner, refer to the User's Guide
[Copy Operations].
Error message
Original size cannot be detect-
ed.
This mode cannot be set with
XXX.
The job has been deleted. Not
enough remaining memory.
Malfunction detected. Please
call your Technical Representa-
tive.
If any message other than those listed above appears, perform the operation
described in the message.

Cause
The paper size of the document
cannot be detected.
Functions that cannot be used
together are selected.
The memory is full.
Some malfunction occurred in
the machine.
Remedy
Select the paper size of
the document.
Make copies using only
one of the functions.
If documents stored in the
memory are waiting to be
printed, print them.
Inform your technical rep-
resentative of the code
displayed on the touch
panel.
