Unit Numbers for SmartSlice I/O Units

Unit numbers identify the SmartSlice I/O Units connected in a SmartSlice I/O
Terminal.
The system automatically allocates the unit numbers for SmartSlice I/O Units.
The SmartSlice I/O Unit on the right side of the CompoNet Communications
Unit is Unit 1. The other SmartSlice I/O Units get unit numbers 2 to 64 in
sequence from the left side to the right side of the SmartSlice I/O Terminal.
The CompoNet Master Unit uses the unit numbers to allocate I/O.

Note (1) The node address of the SmartSlice I/O Terminal has no relation to the
unit numbers of the SmartSlice I/O Units.
(2) The I/O Power Feed Units (for example, the GRT1-PD2 and GRT1-PD8)
do not get unit numbers.
The system automatically
allocates unit numbers from the
left side to the right side.
