check the pins (bent or broken
terminals and locking condition

check the pins (bent or broken
terminals and locking condition

Wire harness continuity.

Preload adjusting motor (rear shock absorber assembly DC motor)
is locked, rotary encoder signal is not received, encoder signal is re-
versed, or motor rotates continuously at a low speed during the di-
agnostic mode (code No. 84 [preload home position adjustment]).
Improperly connected → Con-
nect the coupler securely or re-
place the wire harness.
Improperly connected → Con-
nect the coupler securely or re-
place the wire harness.

Open or short circuit → Replace
the wire harness.

Turn the main switch to "OFF"
and back to "ON", start the en-
gine, adjust the preload (solo
riding → solo riding and lug-
gage), and then check the con-
dition of the fault code using the
malfunction mode of the
Yamaha diagnostic tool.
Condition is "Recovered" →
Service is finished.
Condition is "Detected" → Go to
item 4.
Turn the main switch to "OFF"
and back to "ON", start the en-
gine, adjust the preload (solo
riding → solo riding and lug-
gage), and then check the con-
dition of the fault code using the
malfunction mode of the
Yamaha diagnostic tool.
Condition is "Recovered" →
Service is finished.
Condition is "Detected" → Go to
item 5.
Start the engine, adjust the pre-
load (solo riding → solo riding
and luggage), and then check
the condition of the fault code
using the malfunction mode of
the Yamaha diagnostic tool.
Condition is "Recovered" →
Service is finished.
Condition is "Detected" → Go to
item 6.
