Fuel system voltage: incorrect voltage supplied to the fuel injector
and fuel pump.
Open or short circuit → Replace
the wire harness.
Between fuel injection system
fuse and relay unit coupler.
brown/white–brown/white
Between ignition fuse and right
handlebar switch coupler.
red/white–red/white
Between right handlebar switch
coupler and relay unit coupler.
red/black–red/black
Between relay unit coupler and
joint coupler.
red/blue–red/blue
Between joint coupler and ECU
coupler.
red/blue–red/blue
Between relay unit coupler and
ECU coupler.
blue/yellow–blue/yellow
Execute the diagnostic mode.

No operating sound → Replace
the relay unit.
Execute the diagnostic mode.

Fuel system voltage is below 3
V → Replace the relay unit.
Replace the ECU.
Refer to "REPLACING THE
ECU (engine control unit)" on

Confirm that the fault code has
a condition of "Recovered" us-
ing the Yamaha diagnostic tool,
and then delete the fault code.

FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Start the engine and let it idle for
approximately 5 seconds.
Check the condition of the fault
code using the malfunction
mode of the Yamaha diagnostic
tool.
Condition is "Recovered" → Go
to item 7 and finish the service.
Condition is "Detected" → Go to
item 4.
Start the engine and let it idle for
approximately 5 seconds.
Check the condition of the fault
code using the malfunction
mode of the Yamaha diagnostic
tool.
Condition is "Recovered" → Go
to item 7 and finish the service.
