Measure the accelerator posi-
tion sensor resistance.

Check accelerator position sen-
sor signal 1.
Execute the diagnostic mode.

When the throttle valves are ful-
ly closed:
A value of 12–22 is indicated.
When throttle valves are fully
open:
A value of 97–107 is indicated.
Check accelerator position sen-
sor signal 2.
Execute the diagnostic mode.
(Code No. 15)
When the throttle valves are ful-
ly closed:
A value of 10–24 is indicated.
When the throttle valves are ful-
ly open:
A value of 95–109 is indicated.
An indicated value is out of the
specified range → Replace the
accelerator position sensor.
Replace the ECU.
Refer to "REPLACING THE
ECU (engine control unit)" on
page 8-250.
Confirm that the fault code has
a condition of "Recovered" us-
ing the Yamaha diagnostic tool,
and then delete the fault code.

Front wheel sensor: no normal signals are received from the front
wheel sensor.

Turn the main switch to "ON",
and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha di-
agnostic tool.
Condition is "Recovered" → Go
to item 8 and finish the service.
Condition is "Detected" → Go to
item 6.
Turn the main switch to "ON",
and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha di-
agnostic tool.
Condition is "Recovered" → Go
to item 8 and finish the service.
Condition is "Detected" → Go to
item 7.
Service is finished.
