Installing Memory Chips
There are several points to remember when installing memory
chips. As mentioned previously, do not attempt to modify the
NEATsx if it is already installed in a system and doing the work your­
self will void your system warranty.
These instructions assume a degree of technical knowledge
and competence, and will not cover in detail anything other than the
information related to chip installation. Seek help if necessary or have
the work done by your dealer or local computer service center. When
installing chips, be certain to do so as follows.
• Always observe static electricity precautions as mentioned
earlier in the manual.
• Choose your new memory configuration carefully before pur­
chasing new chips. A memory upgrade should be based on your needs
and a careful review of the memory configuration information in this
manual. Make certain you get the right kind of memory chips.
The figure on the following page shows the different types of
memory that can be used in on the NEATsx.
