2. Set Starting Address for EMS Use
This item when chosen will display the following list of base
addresses.
Set EMS base Address
1. C0000H - CFFFFH
2. C4000H - D3FFFH
3. C8000H - D7FFFH
4. CCOOOH - DBFFFH
5. DOOOOH - DFFFFH
6. D4000H - E3FFFH
7. D8000H - E7FFFH
8. DC000H - EBFFFH
9. EOOOOH - EFFFFH
Select 64K memory address location used for EMS base ad­
dress.
The default setting for the base address is number 5 on the list.
Some LAN (Local Area Network) cards may use this address. If so,
number 9 on the list is the next best choice. Numbers 1 through 4 are
generally used by EGA cards and disk drive controllers.
