Before Installation Setup
Before installing the NEATsx there may be some adjustments
to make on the board. Check to see that the various jumpers are cor
rectly set for your requirements. Refer to the section above on factory
settings if there is any doubt as to the correct setting for your system
configuration.
Memory Banks
The figure below illustrates the layout of the memory subsys
tem on the NEATsx board.
The NEATsx onboard memory subsystem has four banks that
use DIP RAM chips and SIP modules. Detailed information about this
is located under Specifications in the Hardware section.
Several configurations are possible when setting up the mem
ory subsystem. It is important that memory banks be filled in pairs so
that the page interleave function be enabled.
The NEATsx can use up to four memory banks. The banks are
numbered 0, 1, 2 and 3. There are a number of possible memory con
figurations as noted in the following chart.
