If you undertake the work yourself rather than taking the sys­
tem to a dealer or service center, do the following:
• Turn off and disconnect all connections to the system.
• Observe static precautions as covered in a previous section.
• Open the case according the directions in your manual.
• Examine the interior for obvious irregularities. If something
does not look right, stop. Close the system and take it to a dealer or
service center. If there is no evidence of a problem, continue.
• Use a miniature vacuum designed for cleaning this type of
equipment to clean the interior. Be careful not to loosen or disconnect
anything. When finished, check that all connections are intact then
close the case and re-attach the peripheral connections.
