Pull out the empty staple cartridge holding it
by its left and right sides.

Insert the new staple cartridge.
IMPORTANT
• Replace both the inner and outer staple cartridges
at the same time.

Pull the stapler unit of the saddle stitcher unit,
then return it to its original position.

Push back the saddle stitcher unit, then close
the front cover (lower).
CAUTION
• When closing the cover, be careful not to get
your fingers caught, as this may result in per-
sonal injury.
IMPORTANT
• Once you have removed the jammed staples, be
sure to reposition staples for the saddle stitcher
unit. (See "Staple Repositioning for Saddle Fin-
isher," on p. 6-32.)
