Staring a Measurement Cycle (triggering the instrument)
Configuring the Instrument to Automatically Perform Continuous
Measurement
Step 1. Select a measurement to be triggered using the :TRIGger:MODE command on page 372.
Step 2. Set the trigger source of the triggered measurement to Internal using the
:TRIGger:xx:SOURce command.
Step 3. Set the continuous initiation mode of the enabled triggered measurement using the
:INITiate:xx:CONTinuous command.

Starting Measurement on Demand

Step 1. Select a measurement to be triggered using the :TRIGger:MODE command on page 372.
Step 2. Set the trigger source of the triggered measurement to Bus using the :TRIGger:xx:SOURce
command.
Step 3. Set the continuous initiation mode of the enabled triggered measurement using the
:INITiate:xx:CONTinuous command.
Step 4. Trigger the instrument when you want to perform measurement. An external controller can
trigger the instrument by only a single command.
