6.11.3.3. Triggering Events
Triggering Events define when the iDAS makes a records a measurement of the
data parameters selected. Some examples of Triggering events are:
Sampling at Regular Intervals: Most trending information can be stored at
regular intervals by triggering a data channel with an automatic timer.
Sampling during Calibration: It might be desirable to monitor the instrument's
slope to look for drift. Since the slope changes only following a calibration,
certain triggering events take affect every time the unit exits one of its
calibration modes or any time the slope is recalculated.
Sampling after Exceptional Events: Some Triggering Events is allows the user
to capture a time stamped record of the occurrence and capture the
operational or measurement data current at the time the warning was issued.
For each of T-API's instrument models, the list of available events is set and non-
customizable (see Appendix F for a list of specific Triggering Events for this
Instrument).
