Preliminary work
–
Remove the seat. (
–
Remove the fuel tank. (
(XCF‑W, EXC‑F EU/AUS, EXC-F SIX DAYS)

Check the throttle cable routing.
Both throttle cables must be routed to the throttle valve body side by side
behind the handlebars and above the tank bearing.
» If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
–

Check the throttle cable routing.
Both throttle cables must be routed to the throttle valve body side by side
behind the handlebars and above the tank bearing.

Subsequent work
–
Install the fuel tank. (

Mount the seat. (
–
Check the throttle grip for smooth operation.
–
Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position. Move the throttle grip back-
wards and forwards to ascertain the play in the throttle cable.
