Exchange of equipment

11.1.1 Exchange of a standard R1000 against one with integrated fieldbus
equipment
The following information is important for the direct exchange of older R1000 control units
respectively their continued use:

with integrated fieldbus interface
Notes
The enclosure dimension is length x width x height (LxWxH) of the
fieldbus version is 200x200x70mm.
The older control units have the following dimensions 180x140x70mm
or 140x140x70mm (dimensions without plug connectors).
The connectors remain at the bottom of the enclosure.
Below the enclosure should be sufficient space (approximately 120
mm) because all Fieldbus versions are equipped with connectors.
The fieldbus control units are all fully downward compatible except for
the following points.
The Profibus connection uses M12 circular connectors (Reverse
Coding), due to of IP65 requirements.
The data backup via the serial interface is not available for the fieldbus
B-version.
The data backup via the parameter channel of the fieldbus interface is
possible with all versions.
The heavy multipin industrial plug connector for the connection of the
PLC interface and the supply voltage has been replaced by the smaller
Harting HAN 3 plug.
All other plug connectors remain the same.
All PG gland connectors have been replaced by plug connectors.
For the connection of the sensor cables to the Control Unit M18
circular connector are being used, the same as for the connection of
the sensor. Thus new sensor cables are necessary for the connection
of the sensor. These new sensor cables are necessary for the
connection to the Control Unit.
For the voltage supply the Harting 3 plug has been selected.
The connection of the Sensor Switch Box with PG gland connections
has been replaced by a flange receptacle connector. The
corresponding sensor cable has connectors on both ends.
The cables for the connection of the sensors to the Sensor Switch Box
remain the same.
For the connection of the MS42GS, MS42AGS and/or MS54S to the
appropriate Sensor Connection Box there is no change in the type of
cable (i.e. on the sensor side the circular connector M18 and on the
SCB side terminal connection).
All PG gland connections are replaced by plug connectors.
For the sensor connections common shielded M12 circular connector
are used.
For voltage supply the Harting HAN 3 connector has been selected.
