Replacement of fuses
The power supply fuse is 5 x 20 mm, 5 Amp slow blow. A spare fuse is accommodated in the
control unit. The position of the spare fuse is shown in the picture below.

Data backup via the fieldbus interface or serial interface
The R1000 offers the possibility of data exchange with a master. The system and program
parameter can be stored in the PLC via the fieldbus. In addition, stored or modified data can be
written back again into the control unit. The data backup via the RS232 interface is also possible.
10.5
Firmware update via RS232 interface
The enhanced main board now contains a more efficient µC, larger SRAM memory as well as a
flash memory. Thus for the first-time a ROLAND firmware update is possible without exchanging
EPROMs. The R1000 has therefore now a RS232-interface as a standard.
For the firmware update the Phytec Company Flashtool should to be used, which runs as
application under Windows and is part of the scope of supply.

Attention
The fuse should be checked only by trained personnel,
since it is necessary to open the control unit.
Note
The picture shows a control unit for front panel mounting.
The position of the fuse is identical in the wall mount enclosure.
