MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY

SELECTING APPROACHES

In order to select an approach, there must be an active
flight plan or direct-to which terminates at an airport with
a published approach.
To select an approach:
1.
Press the PROC key to display the Procedures
Page. Turn the large FMS knob to highlight
'Select Approach' and press the ENT key. The
approach procedure window appears.
2.
Turn the FMS knob to select the desired
approach and press the ENT key. The transition
window appears.
NOTE: The approach vectors option assumes
the pilot will receive vectors to the final course
segment of the approach and will provide navi-
gation guidance on the final approach segment
and extension only.
3.
Turn the FMS knob to select the desired transi-
tion and press the ENT key. 'LOAD?' is now
highlighted. Press the ENT key. Activate the
approach once the approach clearance is
received.

NOTE: 'LOAD?' will add the procedure to the
flight plan without immediately using it for
navigation guidance.This allows you to continue
navigating the original flight plan, but keeps
the procedure available on the Active Flight
Plan Page for quick activation when needed.
'ACTIVATE?' overrides the enroute portion of
the active flight plan, proceeding directly to the
approach portion.
NOTE:You can also load an approach by pressing
APR
the
softkey.
