Power interruption during the database loading process could result in maintenance being required to reboot the system.

    SECTION 1 SYSTEM OVERVIEW 1.1 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION This section provides an overview of the G1000 Integrated Avionics System as installed in the Piper PA-32 Saratoga. This includes the PA-32R-301 (Saratoga II HP), the PA-32R-301T (Saratoga II TC), the PA-32-301FT (Piper 6X), and the PA-32-301XTC (Piper 6XT). The G1000 system is an integrated flight control system that presents flight instrumentation, position, navigation, communication, and identification information to the pilot through large-format displays.

    Each display bezel is equipped with two SD card slots. SD cards are used for various databases, system software updates, recording flight data, and storing electronic documents. Not all SD cards are compatible with the system. Use only SD cards supplied by Garmin or the aircraft manufacturer. Installing an SD card: 1) Insert the SD card in the SD card slot, pushing the card in until the spring latch engages (the front of the card should remain flush with the face of the display bezel).
