Tie Rod

How to Remove the Tie Rod
1 Remove the rue ring from each tie rod clevis pin.
Remove the clevis pins.
2 Remove the tie rod.

Oscillate Cylinder

How to Remove the
Oscillate Cylinder
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring on the fitting and/or hose must be
replaced and then torqued to specification during
installation. Refer to Section 2, Hydraulic Hose and
Fitting Torque Specifications .
1 Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hoses
from the oscillate cylinder. Cap the fittings on
the cylinder.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.
2 Block the non-steer wheels and center a lifting
jack under the drive chassis just behind the
front axle at the side of the machine.
3 Remove the pivot pin retaining fasteners.
4 Using a soft metal drift, remove the pivot pins.
Note: Adjust the lifting jack to reduce the load on
the pivot pins. Do not lift the machine off of the
ground.
5 Remove the oscillate cylinder from the machine.
