Symptom
Spare battery is not charging.
Terminal not communicating
through the serial cable.
Note: If, after performing these checks, the terminal is still not reading
symbols, contact your distributor or Symbol Technologies.
Cause
Battery not correctly seated in
charging slot.
Battery inserted incorrectly.
Battery is faulty.
The serial cable is not fully
connected.
The terminal is not fully seated
in the cradle.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Solution
Remove and re-insert the spare
battery into slot, making sure it
is firmly seated (see page
4).Check slot for debris. Ensure
battery status indicator LED
turns on.
Ensure the contacts facing
down and toward the opening of
the spare battery slot.
Verify that other batteries
charge properly. If so, replace
the faulty battery.
Ensure the serial cable is
connected securely to both the
cradle and to the host computer.
Remove and re-insert the
terminal into the cradle, making
sure it is firmly seated.
