General Tab
Use the General tab in NICTT to configure the PDT 8142 with the correct ESSID. The
ESSID identifies the radio network and is used to differentiate between different radio
networks. All PDT 8142 terminals on the same network must be set up with the same
ESSID Code. The ESSID on the terminal is the same as that of the APs in the facility.
The General tab displays driver firmware and revision information, and allows changing the
ESSID on the NIC 802.11.
Note: The Version Status information on this window may differ from the
actual screen on the terminal.

Displays the terminal's current ESSID.
Displays driver, firmware and hardware versions. This data is consistent for
the terminal regardless of which terminal profile is the current profile.
