14.3.1 Cabling

Before you can connect remotely to the OSN Server, you need to cable a PC (running
Remote Desktop Connection) to the OSN Server's iPMX module.
Note:
To cable a PC to the OSN Server for remote connection:
Connect the Ethernet LAN port of the device's iPMX module (located on the rear
panel), to the LAN network, by performing one of the following:
Remote PC connection: using a straight-through cable, connect the iPMX LAN
port to a switch that is connected to the IP network.
Local PC connection: using a crossover cable, connect the iPMX LAN port directly
to the PC's LAN port.

The remote PC must be in the same subnet as the OSN server (default IP
address 10.10.12).
