3.3.5.9.3 Configuring the Outbound IP Routing Table
The 'Outbound IP Routing Table' page allows you to configure the device for routing
outbound (i.e., sent) IP-to-IP calls. This table routes inbound IP calls (identified in
''Configuring the Inbound IP Routing Table'' on page 159) received from an IP Group (refer
to ''Configuring the IP Groups'' on page 114) to a specific IP Group destination (or IP
address).

The IP Group (1-9) to where you want to route the call. The SIP
INVITE messages are sent to the IP address defined for the Proxy
Set ID (refer to ''Configuring the Proxy Sets Table'' on page 110) that
is associated with this IP Group.
Notes:
If you choose an IP Group, it is unnecessary to configure a
destination IP address. However, if both parameters are
configured, the INVITE message is sent only to this IP Group.
If the destination IP Group is of type USER, the device searches
for a match between the request URI (of the received INVITE) to
an AOR registration record in the device's database. The INVITE
is then sent to the IP address of the registered contact.
If the parameter AlwaysUseRouteTable is set to 1 (in the 'IP
Group' table, refer to ''Configuring the IP Groups'' on page 114),
then the request URI host name in the INVITE message is set to
the value of the parameter PREFIX_DestAddress (if not empty);
otherwise, it is set to the value of the parameter 'SIP Group
Name' (defined in the 'IP Group' table).
The IP Profile ID (defined by the parameter IPProfile) assigned to
this IP destination call. This allows you to assign numerous
configuration attributes per routing rule.
An optional Charge Code (1 to 25) that is applied to each routing rule
to associate it with an entry in the Charge Code table (refer to
"Configuring the Charge Codes Table" on page 132).
Note: This column is applicable only to FXS interfaces.
A read-only field displaying the Quality of Service of the destination
IP address:
n/a = Alternative Routing feature is disabled.
OK = IP route is available.
Ping Error = No ping to IP destination; route is not available.
QoS Low = Bad QoS of IP destination; route is not available.
DNS Error = No DNS resolution (only when domain name is used
instead of an IP address).
The 'Outbound IP Routing Table' page appears only if SBC is set to 1 (i.e.,
enabled). If this parameter is not enabled (default), the 'Tel to IP Routing'
page appears instead (refer to ''Configuring the Tel to IP Routing Table'' on
page 148 for a description of this page).
