Place the PPD in the /usr/share/cups/model/Toshiba directory (which
requires root privileges) You may need to create the Toshiba subdirectory.
Copy the PPD to the appropriate directory and restart the CUPS daemon.
There is one method used to install the e-STUDIO GL-1020 CUPS printer.
It uses the LPR protocol common to many Unix systems. Select LPR
Printers using IP Printing. The IP address of the e-STUDIO GL-1020 is
required.
Copying the PPD to the Local Machine
In a Linux terminal window, create the Toshiba directory in: /usr/share/
cups/model/ if it is not already created. You must be logged in as Root to
copy the PPD and install the Printer. The name of the compressed file is
Toshiba_GL-1020 _CUPS.gz.
Adding the Printer
Once the PPD is located on the local machine, you must create a printer
using the PPD.
