Checking and unifying state maps

The procedure for checking and unifying state maps is outlined here. To check and
unify state maps when at least one remote mirror network is available and
GeoMessage is started on the local node, do the following:
1. View the state maps for GeoMirror devices on nodes at both sites. (See

Note: Setting the whole state map to stale is the safest alternative in this
situation. You have the option of setting a region less than the whole. But
you must be certain not to make an error that could cause loss of data or
data corruption. To set the entire state map to stale, use the entry fields
as follows:
Value Enter stale. The other choice is consistent.
Starting Data Region
Enter 0 to begin at the first region.
Ending Data Region
Enter -1 to cover all regions.
Device name
In this example, enter gmd0.
Node name
The default is the local node. If you are not doing the operation
from the affected node, enter the node name of the affected
node.
