17. Remove the carrier bearing race.
18. Remove the front bearing from the input shaft.
NOTE: The input shaft may have to be driven out to perform
this procedure.
19. Remove the input shaft's shims and spacer.
20. Remove the input shaft.
21. Remove the front and rear pinion bearing races.
22. Inspect all parts for signs of wear or damage.
23. Thoroughly clean all parts.
