Problem
• Film is loaded but the
RELOAD PAPER ! prompt
appears.
• Cut characters are deformed.
• The cutting results of a de-
tailed figure are deformed.
• The staring and end points
of cutting do not match.
Cause
• Film that is nearly transparent
cannot be detected by the paper
sensors.
• Strong reflected light is preventing
the paper sensors from detecting
the film.
• The loaded film has not been po-
sitioned over the paper sensors.
• The right pinch roller is not posi-
tioned over the wider grit roller on
the right.
• The left pinch roller is not posi-
tioned over a grit roller or is po-
sitioned over the wider grit roller
on the right.
• The Step Pass is too high.
• Coordinate points are incorrectly
specified.
• The Offset Cut Pressure is too
low.
• The film is too flimsy.
• Blade rotation is not smooth.

Solution
• Disable the paper sensors by tur ning
off the Maintenance 1 function, then
set the effective cutting area at the
control panel.
• Change the position of the light source.
• Properly reload the film.
Position the right pinch roller over the
wider grit roller on the right.
Position the left pinch roller over a grit
roller other than the wider one on the right.
• Lower the Step Pass setting.
• Check the coordinate data by plotting
it with a pen.
• Raise the Offset Cut Pressure setting.
• Switch to a stronger film.
• Grease the cutter blade and holder.
