    Special Precautions on Handling Blades Sharp cutter blades are used wth ths plotter. Handle the cutter blades and holders wth care to prevent bodly njury. Cutter Blades Cutter blades are very sharp. Whle handlng a cutter blade or cutter pen, be careful to avod cuttng your fingers or other parts of your body.

    Preparation of Cutter Plunger Ths chapter descrbes the structures and types of the putter plungers (cutter pens).     Loading Media (Paper) Both roll meda and sheet meda can be used wth the CE6000-120AP. Load the meda accordng to the nstructons gven for each type. Use the grt roller on the rght sde of the meda (lookng from the front) as a gude when settng t n the meda sensor.

    Adjust the Blade Length Optmal cut s not acheved unless the blade length s adjusted n accordance to the used meda and the cutter blade.   • Page 67 2.11 Setting Cut Line Pattern Lnes can be cut wth perforated lnes so the cut parts wll not fall off. There are 8 dfferent perforaton patterns of perforated lnes set as 0 to 7, and the rato of cut and uncut part dffers n each. (Cut length decreases cuttng perforaton length, up length decreases the perforaton connecton length or the connecton cut force.) The cut part becomes longer wth a larger value, and becomes easer to separate the cut parts wth a smaller up value.

  • Page 70 2.12 Running Cutting Tests Test cuttng can be performed after makng the tool, speed, force, acceleraton, and perforaton pattern settngs to ensure that the selected cuttng condtons actually produce the desred cuttng results. Check how far the blade cuts nto the meda and how the corners are beng cut. If the cuttng results are not satsfactory, adjust the varous settngs and repeat the test cuttng untl the optmal settngs are acheved.
