For adjusting the sound of TX audio signals the PT-8000A provides a 3 band
equalizer.
When pushing EQ softkey (TX menu):
The display will show the EQ settings in the upper left corner instead of
filter adjustments (as long as the EQUALIZER menu will be displayed).
Cursors will represent the values of the three bands.
The selected band cursor is blue colored; in addition its value in dB for
increase/decrease will be displayed.
EQUALIZER menu will be called up:
Return to TX menu (see previous Page).
Increase gain of selected EQ band in 1dB Steps. Maximum gain is +9dB.
Select EQ band in a cyclic manner (see Table 17 below).
 Band 1  Band 2  Band 3 
Decrease gain of selected EQ band in 1dB Steps. Maximum gain is -9dB.
Reset all previous settings to 0 dB for all 3 EQ bands.
Activating Equalizer settings (on/off); the display shows
the softkey will be displayed inverse.
The 3 EQU-bands are defined:
EQ Band 1
0 ... 200 Hz
Adjustment of EQ bands is also possible with WIDTH/SHIFT control (as long as
the EQUALIZER menu will be displayed):
Pushing will select EQ band in a cyclic manner.
 Band 1  Band 2  Band 3 
Turning will adjust the value of increase/decrease.
Settings only will take effect when equalizer has been activated by softkey EQ
(EQUALIZER menu, see Figure 94).
