15.2 Manual Gain Control RF-GAIN

AGC off
The control knob RF (Manual Gain Control RF-GAIN) is
located as depicted. It allows to cut off AGC action by
pushing (AGC off) and to adjust an RF threshold by
turning.
Turning the control RF will adjust the AGC threshold to a level which can be
monitored by observing the S-Meter (active RX). The AGC threshold can be
raised to a certain level where signals below are significantly less audible than
signals above the threshold where AGC action will level out the audio
Pushing the RF control:
Any AGC action will cut off.
AGC-LED located in the cluster FUNCTION will be on.
S-Meter will possibly fall back to zero.
Caution: In case a signal is present the audio volume may exceed the comfort
level.
Turning the RF control allows to adjust the RF gain according to the situation.
