INSPECTION
Turn
the
inner
race
of the crankshaft
bearing
with
,

your finger.
The
bearing should
turn
smoothly and
quietly.
Also check that
the
beari
ng outer
race
fits
tightly
in
the crankcase.
Replace any bearing if the race dose not turn
smoothly,
quietly,
or if the outer race fits loosely in
the crankcase (page
13-16),
Place
the
crankshaft on a stand or
V-blocks.
Set the dial indicator on
the main
journal as shown.
Rotate the c rankshaft two revolutions
(720°)
and
read
the
funout.
