Chapter 1 Overview
f System status LED
This LED is lit or blinking yellow when an error is detected in the server components. If this
LED is lit or blinking, contact an office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start Guide".
g Keyboard connector (
Connect a keyboard.
h Mouse connector (
Connect a mouse cable.
i Serial port (
Connect cables of peripheral equipment conforming to the RS-232C standard such as a modem.
j Display connector (
Connect a display cable.
k USB connector (
Connect peripheral equipment conforming to the USB standard (2.0 or 1.1).
l Service LAN Port
The LAN port is for the Remote Management Controller. By connecting a LAN cable, you can
use the Remote Management Controller function from Web interface. For how to use the Remote
Management Controller, refer to "Appendix D Remote Management Controller" ( pg.267).
m LAN port 1 (10/100/1000BASE-T) (
Connect an Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP).
For 1000Mbps connection, a category 5 enhanced or a category 6 cable is required.
For 10Mbps/100Mbps connection, a category 5 or higher cable is required.
The LEDs as shown below indicate the following status.
